Early Change

     In this very world we live in, everyone is unique, we have our differences, we have our different ways in handling a situation and different personalities. We may have our dissimilarities, every individual is special. 

     I am Roland Jacques T. Alconis, I was born on January 25th of the year 2005 in the city of Vigan and living with a family of five. For starters, I like books, not that I'm a nerd or something but I just like it. In fact I've been collecting them too, I only possess a limited vareity of books and I wish to expand it hopefully.
     

     I'm presently a 10th grader, which is a year before moving up to Senior High School. I'm not the right person to say that I'm excellent at school, but for me, I'm doing well enough. I'm an awkward person having a really hard time socializing, but when I'm doing so, it's like it's draining my energy inside, that's why, I always find time to be alone, to charge myself up. But this eventually changed.

     Working without company had always been my strength. It charged my energy and sometimes urged me to do unthinkable things, I even assembled 6 boxes of jigsaw puzzle each containing a thousand pieces alone. I've always thought that I can do things without any help, be it from my closest friends or family. It turned out I was wrong. When I graduated from primary school, I thought that high school would be fun and cool considering that my parents and sister told me so. I fooled myself as I started experiencing working solely non-stop just so I could be able to pass my requirements. Luckily, on the first year of high school, I managed to overcome it all by myself. Unfortunately, as I enter a higher level, things seemed to become harder and now that I'm in the 10th grade, considering what is happening right now, the pandemic and all, I eventually lost it. Working alone in these times is like teaching a baby how to walk. This experience served as a strong evidence that no man is an island, that every individual needs a person by their side to lean on especially when they're on their toughest times. Because of these, I taught myself to always ask for assistance when needed due to the fact that we just cannot do it by ourselves. No one can.

     Although I'm still a 10th grader, my previous experince changed me. It helped me realize that my world doesn't just revolve around me, instead it also revolves around those people who needs my help and helped me; And it came into my mind that when you approach someone, it gives us the opportunity to strengthen the relationship towards them, especially my family. I'm thankful that I've been blessed with a messy yet understanding family who raised me as to who am I now.
