The Gift We Are Ungrateful For

     We have been given a gift that no one, even the wealthiest person can't afford. The gift of nature that has always been there long before humans ever existed. But what we did to it is sad and very frustrating.

     As of today, the effects of the long-term ignorance and neglectfulness are now evident and noticeable. A single problem can cause multiple consequences, take Global Warming for instance, it has been a trend for a long time, and it has significantly increased in the last hundred years due to the burning of fossil fuels such as coals, natural gas, petroleum and Orimulsion. These fossil fuels then emit a gas known as Carbon Dioxide and release it into the atmosphere trapping UV rays. This sole trouble affects the glaciers mainly situated in the Earth's poles causing them to gradually melt increasing the sea level. Global warming alone is enough to alarm everybody, unfortunately, humans do what they do best, ignorance and negligence. Another thing is pollution, it creates an enemy that threaten the lives of many organisms. Urbanization also poses a threat to our forestlands as the population grows every single day. 

     Our home is changing abruptly. Not the change we want but the change we deserve. The once lush and green forests are now turning into a deadzone, the once clear and blue seas are now covered in rubbishes, and most species of flora and fauna are now at risk of extinction. All of these are the effects of irresponsible and ignorant humans who only cares for what the nature has to offer to them disregarding the outcome of these doings.

     There's no one to blame for what the environment had become but us, on the contrary, only we, have the capability to restore it to its healthy state if we act now. The least thing we can do is to have discipline, follow all laws that protect the nature and its treasures. Observe proper disposal of waste and always do the 3 R's whenever possible. The future of our planet is up to us.

    I like how you expressed your ideas well, and I totally agree with those. We may be the reason for the destruction of our nature, but only we can have the capability for its restoration. Great job!

    I like that you included some explanations about the given issues we are all experiencing. I agree that nature, which can provide benefits to us, is slowly dying because of the choices of people. And even if people are the reason why it is happening, it is, indeed, also the people who can make positive changes and ways for the betterment of the world. Have a great day.
